From Charles Gifford:
Richard was a great cousin and the best banger racer in the world. He had over 100 trophies and entertained the crowd. All his family miss him very much and would like to turn back time so that we can watch him grow up. Unfortunately he died just before my birthday. When my mom herd about this she was crying so much I only just understood. We were both literally on the floor in tears. My brother made a poem that he read out in the church but somebody else carried on after he started crying. I'm sure now He's in heaven racing and answering our prayers. We all love you Richard. From Barry Foot:
I knew Richard when me and him were both 16 we rode our 50cc motorbikes together and always had a good laugh. One thing I will always remember about Richard was the beaming smile he had on his face – no matter what had happened or where he had been he was always smilling. It was a sad loss to have heard that Richard had died and I will remember that smile always. RIP Richard.
I didn't know Giffy that well, but the time I did know him I thought he was a very nice person, I miss him loads. He always made me laugh all the time. I was upset when I heard about the car crash. He will always be in my heart.
R.I.P. GIFFY miss you.
